A half steer fills approximately 8-10 large grocery sacks.

The price for 2024 is $4.75 per pound hanging weight.

Butcher costs are separate and in addition to these costs (see previous page for details).

Actual meat is about 30% less than hanging weight after cutting and de-boning.

The total cost of a half steer is between $1200 and $1450. Variability is based on the size of the animal.

Your order will be ready for pick up or delivery approximately two weeks after the butcher comes to the farm.

This size is good for a large family, splitting with friends and stocking up.
